Advanced NDT Technician - Remote

Overview

The NDT Technician conducts non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections of structures, pipelines, and other components using ultrasound and related equipment to assess material integrity and identify defects.

In Short

• Perform NDT inspections using various methods, including phased array, shear wave, ultrasonic inspections and Time of flight Diffraction.
• Utilization of advanced imaging and analysis software.
• Select, prepare, load, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment as required.
• Identify and evaluate defects in materials using appropriate testing techniques.
• Complete documentation and work orders in compliance with established protocols.
• Work independently and in team settings.
• Able to problem solve and a high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Maintain company vehicles and a safe driving record.
• Provide instruction and guidance to assigned assistants.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safety regulations and willingness to follow them.
• Able to work a demanding and flexible schedule.
• Able to frequently lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Expertise in multiple NDT methods.
• Intermediate mechanical knowledge.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 80 hrs from a recognized PAUT training course.
