Overview

The Environmental Engineer will primarily be working remotely and traveling periodically to large industrial facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, and oil & gas facilities. The primary responsibility is to focus on day-to-day process development, implementation, and improvement of environmental related tasks specific to refinery operations.

In Short

  • Develop, implement, and improve processes for regulatory compliance.
  • Perform complex emission calculations.
  • Read and understand P&IDs.
  • Maintain environmental data records.
  • Negotiate technical issues with stakeholders.
  • Engage in new rule development.
  • Lead agency inspections and audits.
  • Monitor emerging environmental regulations.
  • Drive compliance assurance and problem resolution.
  • Develop technical skills to support the environmental team.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or Science disciplines.
  • 2-5 years of process, civil, or environmental engineering experience.
  • Industrial experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of P&IDs is preferred.
  • Public speaking and leadership skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to empathize with customers and employees.
  • Discipline and organization.
  • Ability to incorporate management input effectively.
  • Active TWIC card or willingness to obtain one.
