Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to provide personal assistance services (PAS) to employees with targeted disabilities within the Department of Energy (DOE). The role involves aiding individuals with activities of daily living to ensure they can perform their duties effectively.

In Short

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) to employees with targeted disabilities.
• Assist in transferring individuals in and out of various locations.
• Aid in adjusting workstations and government equipment.
• Provide sighted guidance to blind and low vision employees.
• Read aloud technical and non-technical documents.
• Lift, carry, and manipulate objects up to 75 pounds.
• Collaborate with Personal Assistants for service continuity.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Complete required DOE trainings for Contractors.
• Work under DOE's security clearance requirements.

Requirements

• At least two years of related professional work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with assistive technology software applications.
• Experience working with people with disabilities.
• Ability to read aloud documents effectively.
• Capability to provide mobility assistance.
• Sensitivity to cultural differences.
• Adherence to professional appearance standards.
