Patient Care Technician – Medical / Surgical and Oncology Unit - Remote

Overview

Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, on the Medical/Surgical and Oncology Unit 4A. This unit’s primary patient population is medical/surgical and oncology patients, and you will receive special training on how to best care for them.

In Short

• Work as a Patient Care Technician under the supervision of a professional nurse.
• Provide patient care and support admissions and discharge processes.

• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions.
• Receive special training for oncology patient care.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferably one year of prior healthcare experience.
