Nursing Student Extern - Remote

Overview

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital (SHRH) is currently recruiting RN Students for the Summer Student Nurse Internship Program (S.N.I.P). Nursing Students are unlicensed staff members who are within two semesters of graduation from an accredited RN program.

In Short

• Program Dates: June 8 - July 28, 2025
• Full-time hours for the first two weeks, followed by one 12-hour shift and one shadow shift weekly.
• Requirements include enrollment in an accredited RN program and BLS certification.
• Opportunities to pick up extra shifts available.
• Panel Interviews scheduled for March 10 - March 14.
• Participant selection notification on April 21.
• Program graduation on July 28.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited professional Nursing (RN) program.
• Within 2 semesters of graduation.
• BLS certification required.
• Resume required at time of application.
• Must be able to work full-time hours initially.
