Join our growing team! As we expand operations in Colombia, we are seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Accountant in Colombia to manage local accounting and payroll operations while ensuring compliance with Colombian financial, tax, and labor regulations. This person will report into our U.S.-based team and provide expert guidance on local financial matters.

In Short

  • Ensure compliance with Colombian accounting and tax regulations.
  • Record financial transactions accurately in accounting software.
  • Prepare and file Colombian tax returns.
  • Reconcile financial data and bank statements regularly.
  • Process payroll for Colombian employees.
  • Manage employee enrollments in the Colombian social security system.
  • Coordinate payroll execution and submit electronic reports to DIAN.
  • Provide financial planning and budgeting support to U.S. parent company.
  • Attend meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation for compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience in accounting and payroll management.
  • Knowledge of Colombian tax and labor laws.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Aliaddo).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively.
  • Experience in financial planning and budgeting.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in HR coordination is a plus.
  • Willingness to assist with local activities if in Medellín area.
