Propel is on a mission to build modern, respectful, and effective technology that helps low-income Americans improve their financial health. We’re looking for a motivated Content Writer to join our marketing team in a full-time capacity, reporting into our Editorial Lead.

In Short

• Write and edit 3-4 pages a week about benefits programs.
• Ensure content meets Propel’s standards for accuracy and clarity.
• Implement SEO best practices.
• Report on content performance metrics.
• Collaborate with policy experts to fact-check content.
• Become a subject-matter expert around core verticals.
• Plan updates of existing pages to improve rankings.
• Identify content gaps and pitch new ideas.
• Review and edit freelancers’ work.
• Partner with teams to repurpose content.

Requirements

• 2+ years writing or editing content for search.
• Expertise with SEO best practices and tools.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with a Content Management System (CMS).
• Experience with project management tools.
• Experience using AI tools.
