Our client, a tech-forward financial services provider specializing in bookkeeping, accounting, and fractional CFO services for primarily Saas startups (as well as a few small businesses), is seeking a highly experienced Controller. This senior-level, client-facing role focuses on overseeing a team of bookkeepers, ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables, and managing client relationships. In Short

• Oversee work performed by bookkeepers and refine processes using automation.
• Design and execute month-end adjusting entries.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll execution.
• Prepare and manage monthly financial reports for clients.
• Maintain exceptional client relationships through proactive communication.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
• Utilize automation tools for efficient operations.
• Deliver reliable financial reports that meet client expectations.
• Work independently while knowing when to seek clarification.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience as a Controller or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Expert in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis.
• Experience with automation tools.
• Previous experience in client-facing roles is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the US market is advantageous.
