Payer Contracting Director - Remote

Overview

The Payer Contracting Director works directly with market leaders through development, evaluation, negotiation and maintenance of Privia’s value based contracts with payers and potentially with other providers.

In Short

• Manage cross functional work-streams across various teams.
• Manage strategic relationships with payers.
• Handle difficult strategic issues with leadership.
• Make strategic recommendations based on market assessments.
• Assess legal and financial implications of contracting opportunities.
• Represent Privia Medical Group to third party payors.
• Collaborate with teams to develop business arrangements.
• Monitor contract performance and develop remediation tactics.
• Manage contract development process for providers.
• Analyze financial impact of managed care contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Healthcare Master’s or MBA highly preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in health plans or provider organizations.
• Understanding of managed care insurance products.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to grasp clinical and business concepts.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Project management experience.
• Strategic and flexible thinker.
• Compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations.

• Base salary range of $125,000 to $150,000.
