Coder+ Educator - Remote

Overview

The Coder+ Educator will be accountable for the successful delivery of the Coder+ services for enrolled Privia providers and their staff, focusing on documentation education and training both virtually and in-person.

• Conduct provider/clinical staff documentation reviews.
• Create educational material and hold sessions.
• Apply coding standards to medical records.
• Perform quality reviews of records.
• Research coding-related questions.
• Educate coders and staff on coding guidelines.
• Assist in process development for clients.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Comply with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Support day-to-day coding/educational needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of provider medical coding experience.
• Surgical coding experience preferred.
• AAPC CPC and/or CPMA certification preferred.
• Experience in a physician practice setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of coding conventions and rules.
• Must comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed with initiative.

Benefits

• Base salary range of $72,000 - $80,000.
