In Short

  • Responsible for creating and delivering education to the Coding Team and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborates with CMOs to improve clinical documentation integrity.
  • Monitors clinical dashboard for statistical improvements.
  • Develops educational programs based on identified opportunities.
  • Identifies strategic plans to impact clinical dashboard positively.
  • Onboards new staff on coding protocols.
  • Analyzes data to derive conclusions and create action plans.
  • Creates teaching tools to promote quality outcomes.
  • Maintains compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Engages with leadership to secure resources for educational initiatives.

Requirements

  • RHIT or RHIA or CCS certification required.
  • Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Five years of coding experience in area of expertise.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in educational/training roles.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or currently enrolled in AHIMA RHIT HIM Program.
