The Inpatient Coding Educator is responsible for educating and training the coding staff at WVU Healthcare, overseeing auditing processes, and ensuring accurate coding practices.

Requirements

• Graduate of Health Information Technology or equivalent
• Five years of coding experience
• Certification in relevant coding fields
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Extensive experience in various coding systems
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to mentor and train others
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance
• Proficient in office software and medical record systems
