Overview

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for the complete, accurate, and timely processing of claims, managing denial resolutions, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize revenue cycle performance.

In Short

• Manage accounts receivable and analyze aged AR.
• Investigate and resolve denial sources.
• Make independent decisions on claim adjustments and appeals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and care center staff.
• Support large care center go-lives with possible travel.
• Work with the Revenue Optimization team on reimbursement issues.
• Ensure optimal revenue cycle functionality with practice consultants.
• Drive achievement of department KPIs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate.
• 3+ years in a physician medical billing office.
• Experience with major payers (Anthem, Medicare/Medicaid).
• Athena EHR experience required.
• Behavioral Health billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle performance drivers.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• HIPAA compliance understanding.
