Forensic Investigator - Family Law - Remote

Price Benowitz LLP is seeking a highly skilled Investigator with forensic accounting experience to support our Family Law Partner. This fully remote role focuses on financial investigations, asset tracing, and fraud detection in family law cases.

In Short

• Conduct forensic financial investigations related to marital assets.
• Analyze financial documents to identify discrepancies and hidden assets.
• Work closely with attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for mediation and court proceedings.
• Assist in business valuation and lifestyle analysis.
• Identify signs of undisclosed income and fraudulent activity.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and financial professionals.
• Support litigation efforts through preparation of deposition questions.
• Conduct background checks of opposing parties.
• Work independently in a remote setting while maintaining communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr.FA) preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in forensic accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and forensic accounting software.
• Ability to identify fraud and financial misrepresentation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Self-motivated and proactive in a remote work environment.
• Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion.
