QA Engineer - Desktop Software - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our fully remote team to ensure quality for Polydex, our desktop 3D asset browser, as well as our custom 3D software plugins. This role is perfect for someone who’s technically curious, detail-oriented, and enjoys working across a wide range of creative tools - from 3D software plugins to standalone desktop applications.

In Short

• Test desktop application builds from our CI/CD pipeline.
• Test 3D software plugins in Blender, 3ds Max, and Cinema 4D.
• Define automated tests using Python scripting.
• Source 3D assets for testing.
• Assist with escalated customer issues.
• Collaborate with developers on release candidates.
• Document features for internal QA and external users.
• Improve QA workflows by identifying gaps.

Requirements

• 1+ years in QA or related roles.
• Experience testing desktop applications.
• Basic proficiency in Python.
• Strong understanding of manual testing and bug reporting.
• Bonus for experience with 3D assets.
