In Short

  • Administer and manage COBRA benefits for eligible employees and dependents.
  • Communicate with former employees regarding their COBRA options and payment processes.
  • Maintain accurate COBRA records and compliance documentation.
  • Handle inquiries related to COBRA eligibility and coverage options.
  • Work closely with HR and Benefits teams on employee status changes.
  • Prepare and distribute COBRA notices in accordance with regulations.
  • Assist with reconciliation of COBRA premiums and billing discrepancies.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and benefits administration software.
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to resolve issues effectively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in COBRA administration or benefits management preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of COBRA laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of additional benefits regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FMLA) preferred.
