Operational Accounting Analyst - Remote

Overview

As an Operational Accounting Analyst at Plooto, you will be responsible for the accounting and reconciliation of trust accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance while collaborating across departments.

In Short

• Own end-to-end accounting and reconciliation of customer funds.
• Record journal entries related to customer fund flows.
• Investigate reconciliation discrepancies.
• Design and implement accounting logic for new products.
• Perform monthly closes of the trust books.
• Support internal controls and process improvements.
• Investigate transaction exceptions and identify resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for root cause analysis.
• Prepare updates for leadership on exception volumes.
• Ensure audit-ready documentation for trust-related activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in operational accounting or reconciliation.
• Familiarity with high-volume transaction environments.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE or similar frameworks.
• Ability to work with large datasets (Excel, SQL).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
