Communications Associate - Remote

Overview

Planet is seeking a dynamic, self-starting communications professional to join the Communications team in our San Francisco offices. This person will be responsible for developing and amplifying our product communications – further establishing Planet as a global leader in Earth observation technology and data.

In Short

• Develop and implement communications strategies for Planet’s products.
• Shape and implement a social media strategy for executive leadership and brand channels.
• Develop written collateral including press releases, blogs, and social media posts.
• Manage team administration tasks.
• Support the Media Think Tank Program with visual storytelling.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in tech communications and/or content development.
• Excellent writing skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proven communication skills across teams and time zones.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Familiarity with emerging media platforms.
• Self-motivated and critical thinker.
• Bachelor's degree.
