Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

PingWind is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a fully remote position responsible for development of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) including designing, developing, and maintaining APIs that enable communication between different software systems.

In Short

• Fully remote position.
• Responsible for API development and maintenance.
• Define and document API specifications and protocols.
• Build and implement APIs using Java and Python.
• Ensure seamless integration with internal and external systems.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for APIs.
• Implement security best practices for data protection.
• Monitor and optimize API performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements based on feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS, Git, Java REST Web Service, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
