Cyber Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Ping Cyber Security Engineer, you will be involved with every facet of our enterprise systems, including our Software-as-a-Service business areas, focusing on building security automation and incident response.

In Short

• Design, develop, and implement incident response playbooks
• Perform incident response and coordination
• Support in the assessment of system design and change
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation
• Design and implement reliable and maintainable engineered solutions
• Support in detection engineering
• Experience with automation within Security Orchestration and Automation Tooling
• Strong understanding of Cloud technologies, preferably AWS/GCP
• Experience with container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience deploying Endpoint Detection and Response tools

Requirements

• Experience with Security Information and Event Management Systems, ideally Google Chronicle
• Understanding of bespoke scripting automation
• Experience working as a security incident responder is an advantage
• Programming experience, preferably in Go, is a plus
• Strong communication skills to support other teams
• Ability to work collaboratively in a flexible environment
• Commitment to building an inclusive and diverse work culture
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in Security Operations Centre or Site Reliability Engineering
• Broad understanding of security principles
