Operations Support Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Operations Support Specialist at Maersk is responsible for facilitating rates, quotes, and ensuring an excellent experience for customers involved in international transportation. This role involves coordinating with various parties to manage import and export logistics effectively.

In Short

• Work with customers overseas to provide rates and quotes.
• Prepare shipping documentation for international bookings.
• Coordinate routing with airline and ocean carriers.
• Track and trace shipments, resolving any discrepancies.
• Act as a liaison with customs brokers and agents.
• Dispatch pick-ups to authorized agents and companies.
• Communicate timely with customers and vendors.
• Process Dangerous Goods shipments.
• Utilize strong organizational and communication skills.
• Work Monday through Friday from 2pm to 11:30pm.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in international transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Excel and MS Word.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with TSA regulations.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
