In Short

• Own and evolve the core authentication infrastructure that secures every Phantom account.
• Lead the design, implementation, and operation of our hardened Auth stack.
• Architect and ship production-grade improvements to Phantom’s Auth stack.
• Design, build, and scale Passkey support and MFA.
• Drive seedless KMS account provisioning for new users.
• Define and maintain stable, versioned auth APIs for downstream teams.
• Establish SLAs, monitoring dashboards, and automated rollback scripts for all auth services.
• Guide engineers through design reviews and technical best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless rollouts.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.

Requirements

• 7+ Years of Backend Experience in Node.js, TypeScript, Rust, NestJS.
• Deep expertise in authentication protocols (OAuth2/OIDC, WebAuthn/Passkeys, OTP).
• Strong background in key management services and cryptography.
• Familiarity with on-chain data and wallet integrations.
• Strong System Design & Architecture Skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
