In Short

• Provide full product life-cycle counseling to teams developing innovative crypto-native payments products.
• Ensure compliance with applicable global regulations and provide strategic advice to stakeholders.
• Draft Terms of Service; draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial and partnership agreements.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and consider their impact on Phantom.

Requirements

• JD and active member of at least one state bar.
• 5+ years of legal experience, with in-house experience at a financial services, fintech or crypto company preferred.
• Interest in digital assets, web3 and DeFi and a curiosity around new and innovative financial technologies.
• Experience with financial services and consumer protection regulations (State MTLs, Reg E, UDAP, ‘33 Act, ‘34 Act, CEA).
• Excellent judgment and communications skills and the ability to translate legal advice into actionable guidance.
