Fullstack Software Engineer (Remote)

Overview

PermitFlow’s mission is to streamline and simplify construction permitting in the $1.6 trillion United States construction market. Our software reduces time to permit, supporting permitting end-to-end including permit research, application preparation, submission, and monitoring.

In Short

• Work alongside the CTO and engineering team to develop a construction permit application and management platform.
• Define the product and engineering roadmap with founders and users.
• Own and ship features from inception to implementation.
• Develop flexible workflow tooling for permitting.
• Build exceptional user experiences for permitting management.
• Mentor engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• Strong experience in professional fullstack development, ideally in startups.
• Significant experience with the tech stack: React, Typescript, Node.js, Postgres.
• Attention to detail and strive for excellence.
• Experience owning technically challenging cross-functional projects.
• Ability to identify valuable projects and execute autonomously.
• Customer-first mindset and interest in user feedback.
• Habit of introspection and understanding past successes.
