People Can Fly is a leading independent AAA games development studio, seeking a Senior Technical Game Designer to assist in creating engaging game mechanics and enhance player interactions.

In Short

• Support game designers and level designers in implementing game mechanics.
• Create player interactions with the game world and enemies.
• Collaborate with animation, audio, and programming teams to ensure high-quality gameplay.
• Implement player character animations and behaviors using various scripting systems.
• Assist level designers with complex technical elements.
• Participate in playtest sessions to improve prototypes.
• Regular use of Maya with specific plugins.
• Create detailed design documentation.
• Share knowledge with less experienced colleagues.
• Occasional work in Lua scripting.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of at least one game engine.
• Experience in game design, both practical and theoretical.
• Familiarity with visual and text-based scripting systems.
• Experience with established game toolsets.
• Shipped AAA games, preferably in action-oriented genres.
• Knowledge of Maya or similar 3D software.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver quality work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Mentoring skills.
