Site Reliability Engineer - Remote

Overview

Motorola Solutions is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. This remote position is focused on enhancing the reliability of our software platform while supporting customer needs globally.

In Short

• Work remotely from the US East Coast timezone.
• Act as the escalation point for customer support teams.
• Triage and resolve problems and incidents across the technology stack.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents.
• Design and improve monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
• Proactively enhance service quality and reliability.
• Measure and report on service quality metrics.
• Collaborate with a global team.
• Occasional meetings outside standard business hours may be required.
• Support public safety and enterprise communication technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or computer science.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work outside business hours when necessary.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
