Overview

The Retirement Plan Administrator is responsible for the completion of annual nondiscrimination testing and the annual form 5500 for 401k retirement plans, working with advisors, auditors, and plan sponsors.

In Short

  • Perform nondiscrimination, top-heavy, and coverage testing for defined contribution plans.
  • Calculate retirement plan contributions and allocations.
  • Consult on testing results and required corrections.
  • Prepare IRS Form 5500-SF and assist with Form 5500.
  • Support plan audits and reconciliations.
  • Exceed internal and compliance deadlines.
  • Work independently and problem-solve.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Adapt to a dynamic work culture.

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand complex documentation surrounding 401k plans.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with Relius Administration and FT Williams software preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain QKA Certification.
  • Intermediate skillset in Microsoft Excel.
  • Self-starter with strong motivation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic customer service skills.
