Information Security Officer - Remote

Overview

The Information Security Officer will lead and oversee the company's information security program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting internal stakeholders.

In Short

• Part-time position, 3 days per week, on a freelance contract.
• Located in Brussels, with a hybrid work model (remote + on-site).
• Responsible for developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Oversee compliance with PCI DSS, GDPR, and financial regulations.
• Act as the primary contact for audits and assessments.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management.
• Provide security training and awareness sessions.
• Maintain incident response procedures.
• Advise management on security posture and emerging risks.
• Coordinate with third-party providers on security standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Information Security Officer in Fintech or Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIS2, and GDPR.
• Understanding of Hardware Security Modules and cryptographic practices.
• Experience with risk assessments and incident handling.
• Ability to align regulatory requirements with business solutions.
• Strong communication skills for reporting to management.
• Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch are a plus.
• Must be based in Belgium and work from Brussels office.
