IT Specialist (Volunteer) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our Information and Security Support Team, where you will help under-resourced youth transform their passions into rewarding careers.

In Short

• Volunteer position with a commitment of 8-10 hours per week.
• Support and maintain computer systems, cloud-based solutions, and software.
• Troubleshoot problems and provide resolutions for the helpdesk.
• Support for Google Workspace, macOS, Windows, and other systems.
• Execute security and compliance strategies for the organization.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
• Communicate and collaborate across departments and external resources.
• Monitor systems and perform daily security tasks.
• Participate in monthly meetings and weekly conference calls.
• Term limit of 3 months for the position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in an IT Support Team or as IT Administrator.
• Good practical experience in managing IT systems and applications.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Azure, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
• Knowledge and understanding of Cybersecurity.
