Senior Backend Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join a development team working on an innovative product in the geospatial risk management field. This role focuses on contributing to a system that helps analyze and understand risks associated with specific locations, enabling businesses to manage risks more effectively. The position involves backend development, API creation, and integration with cloud storage solutions.

In Short

• Write reusable, efficient, and testable code to implement the functional requirements of the project.
• Develop APIs and backend features that meet security, scalability, performance, and reliability standards.
• Integrate with cloud storage solutions such as databases and blob storage.
• Implement code tests.
• Contribute to the infrastructure with code templates for all developed features.
• Collaborate on technical decisions and direction, including architecture, product planning, and user story/requirement creation.
• Suggest and implement improvements to the application.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in backend Python development and API development.
• Experience with serverless technologies and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Good understanding of asynchronous code, tasks, and messaging queues.
