Parsons is seeking a Principal Engineer – Roads and Highways to support our growing portfolio of infrastructure projects across the Greater Toronto Area, focusing on delivering award-winning infrastructure programs and innovative technologies.

In Short

• Lead the design and delivery of municipal and provincial roads and highways projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide technical direction.
• Ensure technical excellence across projects.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Design roadway infrastructure including alignments and interchanges.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee project deliverables.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Utilize design software like Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in roads and highways engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) is required.
• Proven track record in leading roadway design projects.
• In-depth knowledge of transportation engineering standards.
• Proficiency in design software (Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer).
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with local municipalities is a plus.
