Principal AI Engineer - Remote

Overview

COPE Health Solutions is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of AI-driven capabilities across our healthcare platform. You will begin by developing proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions for high-impact AI initiatives, then define the strategy to evolve these PoCs into secure, production-grade systems. You will lead the technical execution, collaboration with contract engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions integrated into our ARC platform.

• Drive long-term technical roadmaps and establish best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering, data science, or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience with AI/ML-powered systems.
• Strong expertise in MLOps, model lifecycle management, and monitoring.
• Deep experience with AI/ML tools like PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face.
• Solid understanding of large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of healthcare-specific standards (ICD, CPT, FHIR).
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work remotely and travel occasionally.
