Financial Specialist Associate - Remote

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Financial Specialist Associate to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of assignments related to Financial and Accounting operations, as well as the processing of Contracts for the achievement of strategic and financial goals of the Division.

In Short

• Provide administrative and financial support to the Division Business Manager.
• Maintain standard accounting and financial records utilizing a computerized accounting system.
• Prepare financial information for use by other departments, clients, and/or suppliers.
• Prepare journal entries and write-offs for accounts receivable, unbilled, and accounts payable.
• Summarize costs and perform financial analyses for proposal spending.
• Summarize and analyze monthly overhead spending by Sub-Sector.
• Perform financial reconciliations and analysis of accounts receivable.
• Summarize cash receipts and sub-consultant payments.
• Maintain Insurance Certificate Tracking System.
• Assist with preparation of various financial summaries.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting/financial concepts and practices.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC software packages typically associated with accounting.
