Cybersecurity Engineer (ISSE), II - Remote

Overview

The Cybersecurity Engineer will work closely with software development teams to ensure secure configurations and compliance with NIST standards, protecting systems against evolving threats.

In Short

• Collaborate with system designers and operators to integrate security into products.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure security capabilities are properly integrated.
• Generate cybersecurity functional requirements during design reviews.
• Develop and execute security-centric test and evaluation procedures.
• Troubleshoot system configurations and security findings.
• Ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) findings.
• Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes under RMF.
• Develop and review certification and accreditation documents.
• Engage in developing RMF artifacts like System Security Plans.
• Maintain a current Secret level security clearance.

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. in Cyber Security or related field.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
• Extensive experience with Cyber Security tools and network topologies.
• 6 years’ experience in designing and implementing secure systems.
• Knowledge of Risk Management processes and methodologies.
• Experience with network security architecture concepts.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Current Secret level security clearance required.
