Revenue Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Revenue Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the revenue accounting function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting in addition to creating and maintaining robust processes. This role is integral to driving and ensuring accuracy and completeness of our financial records and will work closely with the Director of Accounting.

In Short

• Execute and own the month-end and year-end close processes for revenue.
• Focus on Revenue Recognition (in accordance with ASC 606), Contract Review, Invoicing, Cost of Goods Sold, Inventory, and Sales Commissions.
• Work cross-functionally to create new workflows and processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate and manage audits with external auditors.
• Assist with the implementation of accounting technology software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 340-40.
• Experience in Inventory Management and Cost of Goods Sold.
