Overview

The National Director, Principal & Leadership Giving is responsible for creating and executing a principal giving plan to support the organization’s goals, focusing on raising significant funds for pancreatic cancer initiatives.

In Short

  • Lead the development of a principal giving strategy.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth donors.
  • Solicit significant gifts at the principal gift level ($1 million and above).
  • Develop personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Prepare funding proposals and stewardship reports.
  • Travel to meet with donors and prospects.
  • Ensure compliance with non-profit policies and gift acceptance.
  • Contribute to increasing PanCAN’s annual revenue to $80M.
  • Foster relationships for legacy giving programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, non-profit, marketing, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in major gift philanthropy.
  • Proven record of soliciting and closing principal gifts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with donor management systems.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
