Principal Consultant, Offensive Security, Proactive Services (Unit 42) - Remote

Overview

The Principal Consultant on the Offensive Security team is focused on assessing and challenging the security posture across a comprehensive portfolio of clients. The individual will utilize a variety of tools developed and act as a key team member and leader in client engagements.

In Short

• Assist in the development of internal infrastructure design for research, development, and testing focused on offensive security
• Conducts periodic scans of networks to find and detect vulnerabilities
• Performs client penetration testing to find any vulnerabilities or weaknesses
• Ability to assist in scoping engagements by articulating various penetration approaches
• Report generation that communicates testing and assessment details
• Develop scripts, tools, and methodologies to automate internal processes
• Conduct IT application testing and cybersecurity tool analysis
• Conduct threat hunting and compromise assessment engagements
• Assist in the development of security standards and best practices
• Conduct cloud penetration testing engagements

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience with risk assessment tools
• Experience managing a team of consultants
• Deep understanding of how malicious software works
• Ability to modify known exploits manually
• Strong knowledge of tools for network and web application penetration testing
• Familiarity with web application penetration testing and code auditing
• Knowledge of conducting cyber risk assessments
• Experience with major flavors of Linux, Windows, and cloud providers
• Experience with scripting and programming
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security or equivalent experience
