Senior System Administrator - Remote

Overview

The Senior System Administrator will work with our next generation platforms, focusing on system administration, virtualization, cloud services, and server roles. This role involves designing architectures, developing supporting documentation, and migrating software applications to cloud computing environments.

In Short

• Hands-on expertise in administering cloud services such as AWS, VMware, or Windows Azure.
• Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking issues through remote troubleshooting.
• Perform hardware installations and basic troubleshooting on LAN, VPN Access, and VoIP systems.
• Upgrade BIOS and device firmware on servers and perform planned maintenance activities.
• Monitor and manage systems performance and capacity using tools like Nagios and PRTG.
• Mentor junior System Administrators and manage overall departmental work.
• Ensure proper closure of end-user service requests.
• Create and maintain documentation for networks, systems, and applications.
• Perform user provisioning lifecycle tasks.
• Assist in local hardware procurement and vendor management.

Requirements

• B.E. in Information Technology, Computer Science, M.C.A., or related field.
• CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, or any relevant System Administration certification.
• 5+ years of experience in system administration.
• Fluent in verbal and written English communication.
• Strong client communication skills.
• A good team player and self-motivated individual.
• Hands-on expertise in Git or similar source control management.
• Excellent knowledge in scripting (PowerShell, VB Script, ShellScript).
• Experience with Windows Administration and Web Server Administration.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and networking concepts.
