Production Designer - Remote

Overview

The Production Designer (PD) will be responsible for creating engaging, visually appealing, and high-quality content across multiple verticals at Packt, a global technical publisher.

In Short

• Evaluate and provide feedback on images from authors.
• Redraw or modify images for print and digital distribution.
• Design book mockups and covers.
• Lay out book chapters using InDesign.
• Ensure timely submission of books for printing and publishing.
• Coordinate with various teams to streamline production workflows.
• Create marketing assets based on briefs.
• Maintain brand consistency in design outputs.
• Handle urgent production tasks as needed.
• Escalate critical issues to the Production Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably technical.
• Proficiency in design software (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
• Strong understanding of design principles.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
