In Short

• Oversee the design, development, and integration of flight control systems.
• Define flight control system requirements and perform trade studies.
• Lead supplier selection and integration activities.
• Manage flight control system development phases.
• Generate and approve safety analysis and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for flight control interfaces.
• Lead CAD definition within the PLM system.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee functional testing and mentor junior engineers.
• Maintain and report on project schedules and budgets.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in design and development of flight controls.
• 4+ years in electro-mechanical flight controls.
• Experience mentoring engineers.
• Knowledge of flight control systems for business aircraft.
• Mastery of FAR Part 23 and Part 25 certification.
• Understanding of RTCA D-160G, DO-254, and SAE ARP4754A.
• Proficiency with CAD software like Dassault 3DX or CATIA V6.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships.
