Overview

The Benefits Services Representative will handle incoming inquiries in a call centre environment, providing support for group and individual life and health benefits while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

In Short

  • Assist members with online registration and navigation for web portal and mobile app.
  • Educate members about OTIP’s products and services.
  • Provide timely and accurate information in response to inquiries.
  • Resolve member complaints regarding coverage, claims, and service.
  • Process claim adjustment requests and cheque stop-payments.
  • Respond to member email inquiries within specified turnaround times.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective support.
  • Draft letters and prepare responses to correspondence.
  • Maintain historical records of insurance transactions.
  • Keep information confidential to protect operations.

Requirements

  • A post-secondary school diploma.
  • One year of training in insurance-related courses.
  • One year of experience in group health, dental, and travel insurance.
  • One year of experience in a call centre environment.
  • Strong knowledge of group health, dental, and travel insurance.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset.
