Overview

The Eligibility Consultant supports multiple health plans by verifying member enrollment status, addressing enrollment questions, and ensuring accurate data entry and updates.

In Short

• Verify member enrollment status and make demographic changes.
• Address enrollment questions from health plans and states.
• Perform manual updates on electronic enrollment files.
• Work on claim inquiries and manage urgent requests via email.
• Review and update reconciliation reports.
• Respond to eligibility-related issues and validate benefit plan enrollment.
• Coordinate the distribution of membership ID cards.
• Complete data entry for new enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Partner with other teams for eligibility and benefit plan information.
• Training provided for the role with set hours.

Requirements

• 6+ months of customer service experience (preferably in healthcare).
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and research data.
• Workplace flexibility and adaptability to change.
• Knowledge of healthcare, MCOs, and enrollment processes preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
