Independent Legal Consultant - Remote

Overview

Opal Group is seeking a detail-oriented Independent Legal Consultant to support operations by reviewing contracts and providing legal guidance in a remote environment.

In Short

• Review and provide guidance on commercial, hotel, and sales contracts.
• Identify key contractual terms and risks.
• Provide light advisory support for legal questions.
• Maintain organized records of contract reviews.
• Collaborate with internal managers for timely execution of contracts.
• Log hours and tasks performed for invoicing.
• Must be authorized to perform law-related services in NYS.
• Work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possibly assist with compliance and HR-related questions.

Requirements

• Law degree and admission to the New York State Bar.
• 2-3 years of legal experience, preferably with contracts.
• Ability to independently review and interpret contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High degree of ethics and professionalism.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with NYC operational environments is a plus.
• Understanding of other U.S. state laws is helpful.
