Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Independent Legal Consultant to support Opal Group's operations by reviewing commercial, hotel, and sales contracts, providing clear guidance, and addressing light legal questions in a professional, remote environment.

• Review and provide guidance on contracts.
• Identify key contractual terms and risks.
• Acknowledge receipt of all requests within 48 hours.
• Provide light advisory support for legal questions.
• Maintain organized records of contract reviews.
• Collaborate with internal managers for timely execution.
• May assist with compliance, HR, or cybersecurity questions.
• Maintain a detailed log of hours and tasks performed.
• Prepare accurate monthly invoices for payment.
• Must be legally authorized to perform law-related services in New York State.

Requirements

• Law degree and admission to the New York State Bar.
• 2–3 years of legal experience with contracts.
• Ability to independently review and interpret contracts.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High degree of ethics and professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Familiarity with New York City operational environments is a plus.
