Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Manager will be the first finance hire at OneText, responsible for scaling the accounting function as the company grows from hundreds to thousands of customers.

In Short

• Take ownership of the entire accounting function.
• Manage and reconcile passthrough costs and revenue.
• Close the books monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financials and audit readiness.
• Implement and maintain accounting tools and systems.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Chief of Staff on financial statements.
• Provide insights on margins, cash flow, and cost centers.
• Partner with outside vendors for bookkeeping and tax needs.

Requirements

• High level of accounting competency.
• Experience in an early-stage startup.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance.
• Experience with complex revenue structures.
• Ability to design scalable systems.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Quickbooks and startup-friendly tools.
