Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for setting up and owning the financial reporting, technical accounting, and operational accounting of the company’s independent power production business. This role is vital in managing the operational accounting for company debt and maintaining excellent internal/external customer relations.

In Short

• Own and execute all financial reporting for tax equity entity and independent power production business.
• Develop accounting processes and controls for the company’s independent power production business.
• Manage and execute tax equity entity annual audit.
• Own and execute accounting for all company debt.
• Review signed business contracts for accounting implications.
• Participate in ongoing development and maintenance of financial systems.
• Support improvement of cross-functional transactional speed.
• Contribute to overall company technical accounting.
• Ensure adherence to accounting and finance policies.
• Comfortable operating in a hybrid remote and in-person team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Active CPA.
• 5 – 10 years’ experience across public accounting and industry.
• Big 4 accounting experience preferred.
• Renewable energy accounting experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems like Sage Intacct or NetSuite preferred.
• High proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Must be self-motivated and enjoy a team-oriented approach.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
