Remote Appian Developer

Overview

We are seeking a Remote Appian Developer to play a pivotal role in designing, configuring, and implementing complex Appian functionalities within mission-critical applications. In this position, you will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and backlog refinement to testing and remediation—while adhering to established best practices. You will also be responsible for data modeling, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Appian’s latest features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated and innovative solutions.

In Short

• Partner with product owners and business analysts to understand requirements.
• Estimate effort and complexity for user stories and tasks during sprint planning.
• Develop and configure Appian capabilities, data records/models, and functionalities.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Appian applications and integrations.
• Provide testing support by creating test cases and identifying testing needs.
• Contribute to internal documentation and training materials.
• Keep current with the latest Appian features, tools, and industry trends.
• Strong understanding of Appian architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Proven application of Waterfall, Agile Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required for Public Sector roles.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant industry experience.
• Appian Senior Developer certification (or higher).
• Familiarity with Appian testing methodologies.
