Director of Finance (Controller) - Remote

Overview

We’re hiring a Director of Finance to own the financial health, clarity, and strategy of Omniscient Digital as we grow from 7-figures to 8-figures in revenue.

In Short

• Own AP/AR, bookkeeping, and monthly close.
• Oversee invoicing, collections, cash flow, and treasury management.
• Manage external accountants and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax laws.
• Strengthen internal controls and approval workflows to reduce financial risk.
• Continuously improve and automate financial operations using modern tools and AI workflows.
• Lead company-wide budgeting and forecasting (annual, quarterly, rolling).
• Build financial models for revenue and headcount.
• Prepare and present monthly reports and dashboards with clear insights and recommendations.
• Track key performance metrics (e.g., gross margin, revenue per employee, utilization, client profitability).
• Partner with leadership to model growth scenarios and guide investment decisions.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A.
• Strong accounting foundation, comfortable managing books, budgets, and audits end-to-end.
• Proven ability to analyze data, model financial scenarios, and clearly communicate insights to leadership.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
• Hands-on operator who builds efficient, scalable systems.
• Familiarity with remote team operations and international payments.
• Experience in a marketing agency or professional services firm preferred.
• CPA or CMA a plus, but not required.
• You're friendly, eager to jump in and take ownership.
