Overview

The Director of State and Local Government Relations will play a key role in creating and executing a national state and local policy framework to drive advanced nuclear and engage stakeholders on the ground in key markets.

• Build a state and local government relations strategy for the company.
• Monitor and advocate for legislation, amendments, hearings, and policies in state capitols.
• Implement a 50-state legislative monitoring system for advanced nuclear policy.

• Coordinate visits by elected officials to company facilities.
• Build relationships with state and local officials for technology deployment.
• Support facility siting processes and interactions with local chambers of commerce.
• Conform with regulations, policies, and work procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two to five years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating consultants successfully.
• Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time.
