Data Protection Manager - Remote

Overview

We’re expanding our Information Security and Data Protection team at Octopus Electric Vehicles! We’re looking for a Data Protection Manager to join our growing team and support our fast-paced security landscape.

In Short

• Maintain and develop the company's data protection strategy and compliance framework.
• Lead and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Manage Data Subject Access Requests (SARs) and other data subject rights.
• Manage the company's data breach response plan.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all data privacy matters.
• Conduct due diligence on third-party suppliers' data protection risks.
• Design and deliver data protection training across the business.
• Monitor the evolving privacy regulatory landscape.
• Serve as a point of contact for the ICO.

Requirements

• A passion for Data Protection and Information Security.
• Excellent understanding of UK GDPR legislation.
• Ability to work in a pressured environment.
• Supportive team member with attention to detail.
• Awareness of Information Security principles for ISO27001 compliance.
• Knowledge of the FCA or experience in the financial services industry.
